LOUD announces THE PURSUIT OF JUSTICE!

After many months of intensive workshops, devising, writing and rehearsing, LOUD is proud to announce its next full-length play, THE PURSUIT OF JUSTICE.

In our second year we have expanded our process, spending a full year working together. In our first semester we held workshops and rehearsals based around our values of intersectionality and undoing oppression. Ensemble members led workshops based on a related topic of their choice. Topics included queer and trans* representation in the media, employment discrimination, and exploring the Black Lives Matter movement through poetry. We used devised theater techniques to transform these conversations into stories that we have crafted, collaboratively into a new show that we promise will blow your mind!

The Pursuit of Justice focuses on the stories of five young people who all attend the same community Gender and Sexuality Alliance in the days leading up to a fateful event. Their experiences are funny, romantic, enraging and real as they discover what it means to stand in solidarity with each other.
